Through our Education Programme Biffa strive to inspire schools and other community networks to become more involved in recycling. We work alongside local authorities to ensure support for local initiatives and to reinforce key messages where appropriate.
We aim to establish links and involve through our visitor centres, visits and talks at meetings with community groups such as Women's Institutes, Community; Residents Associations, and Parish Councils etc. These groups again provide an opportunity to communicate key messages back to the wider community. Other groups include:Church Groups, Scout/Brownie Groups, Round Table and Rotary Clubs.
The greater exposure given to our facilities, the better informed the local community will be in understanding the resource recovery programme from 'cradle to grave'.
