Packaging Consultancy
Our packaging specialists advise on alternative packaging materials and designs, as well as the latest innovations to help reduce waste and improve recycling rates. We can help you develop a plan and then help you implement any change, managing the project end to end.
Surplus Redistribution
We run full production and supply chain audits to identify where there may be surplus that can be redistributed. This is led by our subsidiary, Company Shop Group, at point of manufacture and /or at distribution centres. We can take delisted and mislabelled products to trial or damaged stock - relabelling and repacking it for redistribution. The surplus is then sold on at heavily discounted, affordable prices in our Company and Community Shop outlets.
Recycling On-Site
Improve recycling rates and rebates with our sustainable waste management team. We can provide on-site teams and equipment to segregate and bale more recyclable materials including plastic, card, and glass. These are then taken away for resale and the proceeds passed back to the customer as recycling rebates.
Recycled Food Grade HDPE and rPET
Our plastic recycling facilities produce food grade rHDPE and rPET natural compounds for use in manufacturing to create new bottles, food trays and other types pf packaging. Using the latest technology we are able to capture and produce high quality rHDPE and rPET that is trusted by food and drink manufacturers across the UK.
Hazardous
If you run a research and development facility, we have a team of mobile chemists and hazardous waste specialists to help dispose of any hazardous waste safely and compliantly. Our teams help classify, package, and dispose of hazardous waste. They also run training courses to help customers own teams identify and manage hazardous waste.
Anaerobic Digestion
Where surplus or leftover food is not fit for human consumption, as a last resort, we can take it away to be treated at one of our anaerobic digestion (AD) facilities. Our flagship plant, Poplars in Cannock generates up to 6.5m MW of electricity alone – enough to power 15,000 homes. The AD process also creates a nutrient filled bio-fertiliser which can be used in agriculture.

Increasing recycling cannot only help businesses to move one step closer to their sustainability goals, it can save them money too. More efficient segregation and baling on site of different recyclable materials, increases the amount that can be recycled and recycling rebates you receive. Where food is not fit for human consumption it can also be used in animal feed rather than simply becoming waste.
Food waste sent to anaerobic digestion (AD) or to be composted should be a last resort and only used when food is completely inedible (e.g. it's rotten or plate scrapings). The more food surplus we redistribute the less that will need to be processed at an AD facility.
