Post consumer and post industrial recycling
As an integral part of Biffa, one of the UK's largest waste management companies, Biffa Polymers operates from the Wilton International Petrochemical Complex. We help our customers not only ensure that their recyclate is diverted from landfill and upgraded, but also are closing the loop with many Industries to ensure that used plastics materials are recovered cleaned and re engineered to produce plastic compounds that can again be used for many different applications.
Polymers chemicals and compliance
Biffa Polymers standard grade slate offer includes polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene and polyethylene terephthalate in a number of different formats including foodgrade compounds, natural and coloured compounds and natural and jazz flake.In addition we also offer our customers a packaging compliance scheme and chemicals recycling and consultancy business.
World first
Biffa Polymers constructed the first commercially available rHDPE food grade production plant back in 2008. In 2011 we added to this with another world first when we opened a mixed plastics plant producing polymer grades from rigid post consumer packaging.
