We propose to develop an energy recovery facility in Leeds on the former Skelton Grange coal-fired power station site.
The proposed Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) will handle the residual waste left after businesses in
and around Leeds have recycled and composted as much as they can.
The facility has capacity to treat 300,000 tonnes of non-hazardous waste each year and will produce 25.8 megawatts of electricity, equivalent to the average power use of around 51,600 homes.
