When completed, the Visitor and Education Centre will promote recycling and ways to produce less waste, and provide a first hand experience of how West Sussex’s black bag rubbish is used as a resource to produce alternatives to fossil fuels.
The centre will host visits for primary and secondary school aged children, and for community groups, as well as public open days.
Biffa is currently developing a programme of activities for the Centre and educational resources in partnership with West Sussex County Council.
