1. View across the southern area of the site. Infilling with waste and capping has been completed and restoration soils will be installed to cover the cap and the gas collection pipework connecting the gas wells with the landfill gas to energy plant (see separate image below). The bunds and panels have been installed to disrupt airflow across the site and form part of the odour abatement system.
2. The site viewed from Westmill I and looking north-east across Cells 6 and 7 which were engineered this year (2010).
3. Waste being levelled and compacted in Cell 5 at the eastern boundary of the site.
4. The landfill gas to energy plant installed in the northern part of the site. The plant currently generates 2.1MW of electricity.
