The trend of people in the UK searching for the topic of recycling has continued to rise over the last five years with the week over Christmas and New Year seeing consistent spikes. 2018, in particular, saw an increase of 14% compared to 2017 with Blue Planet II being released at the end of 2017.

How to manage your Christmas waste

This week (23rd - 29th September) is Recycle Week, organised by WRAP under the Recycle Now brand and aims to encourage the public and businesses to recycle more, by demonstrating the benefits of recycling materials from all around the home and office.

This year’s theme will be: ‘Recycling. It’s in our own hands.’

Businesses, individuals, schools, universities, and charities can all get involved this week by sharing ways in which they're promoting recycling on social media.

Biffa is supporting #RecycleWeek and continued sustainability with both public and business events nationwide. Check out some of Biffa's events below in our Guide to Recycling Week 2019.
