Licenced and Compliant

Fly-tipping can occur in many ways, from a member of the public dumping a bag, to an illegally operating waste company tipping a lorry load of waste. That’s why we offer a scalable service, providing a fly-tipping waste response for pathways, roadsides, local problem sites, and private land. In some instances, fly-tipped waste can include hazardous materials, such as liquids, and so our licensed waste removal extends to hazardous waste clean-up.

We also work closely with national organisations to tackle ongoing fly tipping incidents. Our partnerships with these corporations will improve waste management and minimise the amount of fly tipped waste throughout the UK.

The Biffa ‘FlyMapper’ App

FlyMapper is the national fly-tipping recording and monitoring system for Local Authorities in Wales, and is now available to public bodies and private organisations in England. FlyMapper comprises a mobile app, FlyMapper Mobile, and a web application, FlyMapper Web.

FlyMapper Mobile downloads onto most mobile devices and allows fly-tipping incidents to be rapidly recorded and photographed in the field. You can view and edit existing incidents, which then automatically synchronise with FlyMapper Web and allows full editing, analysis, and reporting of incidents.

Raising an incident, providing details, and organising a quotation can be time consuming and frustrating! Our new app enables you to quickly record and submit an incident, with the data automatically reported to DEFRA. The reporting helps you to build a picture of incidents, with the aim of identifying preventative measures:

> GPS location software zeroes in on the exact position

>  Offline mapping and location plotting for when you do not have a GPS signal

>  You can record an incident in less than a minute!

>  Add up to 4 photos using your phone camera or saved photos

>  Record an incident offline and the incident will be submitted as soon as you have service

>  Amend and update incidents

>  Adjust the mapping location of your incident

>  Create incident reports

>  Simple incident type selection using DEFRA categories

>  Sends the information to DEFRA for reporting purposes
