Almost 500,000 hectares of land has been improved for biodiversity - an area almost the size of Norfolk - and an estimated 265,000 people have directly benefited from project improvements.
Biffa Award is a multi million pound environment fund managed by Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT), which utilises landfill tax credits donated by Biffa Waste Services. The aim of Biffa Award is to support projects that will be of lasting environmental benefit, improve quality of life and foster "vibrant communities".
Examples of what Biffa Award funding has achieved and details on how to apply for funding can be found on the Biffa Award web site here.
