The supply management team monitors an external spend in excess of £500m and works closely with business leaders and superb suppliers to source the right products and services efficiently. Working with our supplier partners to achieve the highest standards of responsible sourcing, sustainability and human rights. We aim to continue to stamp out modern slaveryreduce accidents & support our communities. As a supplier to Biffa we need your support to achieve these goals & together we can make a difference.

Supplier portal FAQs

  • Who is the supplier portal for?
    The supplier portal is a digital platform for Biffa and suppliers to communicate, manage, and interact with in a centralized, efficient manner. It provides an easy way for you to manage your data and how you want to communicate with Biffa.
  • What activities should I now do in the portal?

    Invoices:

    · You can view the status of your invoice as it is processed by Biffa, including the invoice number and value.

     

    Document Management:

    · You can upload and manage important documents such as certifications, permits and other compliance documentation.

    · Biffa will raise requests to you for compliance documents in the collaboration tool, you will receive email notifications when this happens and reminders to keep your documents up to date.

     

    Collaboration & Communication:

    · You can contact Biffa via the collaboration tool by submitting a Contact Us request, we will aim to reply to these as soon as possible.

     

    Self-Service for Suppliers:

    · Suppliers can update their contact information, banking details, or other relevant business information, reducing the need for manual intervention.

  • How long does it take to complete the registration process?
    Once you submit your completed information and meet all of the requirements, your account will be activated within 5-7 working days.
  • Can I have an additional account set up for my colleague?
    Yes, click Supplier Management, Manage User Requests and populate the required details.
  • I have more than one company trading with Biffa or more than one supplier account. Can I log into them all in the one account?
    No - you will need a separate portal account and username for each company.
  • How do I change my email address for my account?
    Select Manage Profile and update your email. Please note if you need to update how we send Purchase Orders or Remittances to you, you will need to do this via the My Account section. Please make sure to review and submit the changes.
  • How do I update my company details?
    Please update the details and press submit for approval.
  • Do we need to change the way in which we invoice?
    No, please continue to send all invoices to biffa.invoices@biffa.co.uk
  • One of my certificates has expired, how do I update this?
    Go to the Manage Documents page, which is under Supplier Management. There you will be able to Create A New Document and upload for Biffa to complete a review.
  • Are there resources about using the Supplier Portal available in other languages?
    No. The resources are only available in English.
  • I'm having an issue logging in, what am I doing wrong?
    Ensure you are not using the browsers auto-populating feature to enter username and password or try in a different browser or incognito mode. Please view the supplier portal guidance video and take the necessary steps to reset your own password.
  • I need help with the multi-factor authenticator, who can help me?
    Please visit Microsoft’s help pages here.
  • How do I reset my password for my account?
    Please use the ‘forgot your password’ link on the sign in page to reset your password for your account. You will need to use the email address that you used to sign up with. 
  • I've completed the supplier onboarding pages, but I haven't received and email, what should I do?
    Please check your spam folder as it may have been sent there. If that does not resolve the issue, please raise a Contact Us request and we will come back to you as soon as possible.
