Biffa landfill site

Waste Processing

To help our customers meet their waste management targets and overcome challenges we’ve invested in our operational infrastructure and services. Materials that were previously unrecovered are now being separated and reprocessed.

Recycle 0 200

The number of large landfill sites has fallen from around 2000 to nearer 200.

Thinking outside the void

New initiatives, like soil treatment, aggregate recycling and material washing, are the latest in a long line of innovations from Biffa. We are continually looking for new ways to safely divert more waste away from landfill, turn more waste into saleable materials, reduce transport impacts and minimise landfill tax.

However, there will always be waste streams that cannot be disposed of in any other way. So, we are also actively looking for new landfill sites and investing in our existing estate to ensure we are able to make the most of the resources at our disposal. Wherever you are, whatever you need, Biffa can help you hit your recycling targets and reduce your materials costs.
