When you think of Greggs you may think of steak bakes, sarnies and their infamous sausage rolls… But did you know we're supporting Greggs to become more sustainable?
Our team of experts have been working with Greggs to design recyclable baking paper which is also cheaper and uses less carbon to make. Greggs is now able to recycle over 600 tonnes of baking paper per year which is a big step forward in its Greggs Pledge where one of the aims is to make all packaging fully recyclable
By 2025, Greggs is aiming to use 25% less packaging than it did in 2019 and for any remaining packaging to be made from material that is widely recycled.
We are delighted to support Greggs with a positive step forward in its sustainability ambitions. We’ve even been nominated for Sustainability Initiative of the Year at the 2024 Baking Industry Awards.
So next time you're devouring a delicious donut, or scoffing your sarnie, know that our expertise has helped deliver a truly sustainable meal!

Litter Pick with NU Foundation
[July 2024]
The North East Team were delighted to partner with teams from the NUFC and NU Foundation for a 2 hour clean-up of the Standhope area of Newcastle, with over 30 volunteers taking part. 67 bags of litter were collected from all over the area, helping Newcastle to look its best. All volunteers were provided a courtesy Ice-Cream from the ‘Ice to meet you’ van as payment for a hard days work.
A huge thank you to all those that took part.

Annual Scotland and North East golf day
[June 2024]
This year we chose the gorgeous Close House as the site for our annual Golf competition. Following breakfast, 16 teams headed out to play 18 holes on the picturesque course located on the North bank of the River Tyne. The Weather was on our golfers' side initially making for some excellent drives, the half way house and juice buggy were a hit amongst the players and everyone made it back inside for lunch before the downpour started.
We wanted to say a huge thanks and congratulations to all our customer that joined us on the day and took part.
