Sustainability linked financing principles are those which underpin ‘‘projects that facilitate and support environmentally sustainable economic activity’’ align to Biffa’s core strategic growth priorities, purpose and vision and deliver broad environmental and societal benefits.
We have launched our first Sustainability-Linked Finance Framework to align our funding with our ambitious Sustainability Strategy.
Two performance targets underpin the basis of the framework, both of which form an integral part of Biffa’s Sustainability Strategy:
The framework has been established in alignment with the International Capital Market Association's guidelines, with reference to the sustainability-linked bond principles and the Loan Market Association’s sustainability linked loan principles.
To ensure the framework aligns to best practice, it has been independently reviewed by S&P. A copy of their second party assessment is available on S&P's website
